Ok, so before we talk about HOW lead generation works, let’s cover WHAT lead generation means.
Firstly, what is a lead? When referring to a ‘lead’, we normally mean a person who has shown interest in your company’s products or a service that you sell. Then you convert them into a prospect, this is done, through a strategic conversation where you highlight all the benefits of working together, ticking all their boxes and close the deal.
Their journey will go something like this; prospect client will have discovered your business either via your social media, website, blog, networking etc. They then interact with your call to action which takes them to a landing page designed to capture their information ‘lead’ in exchange for something that benefits them, this benefit be as simple as a downloadable social media planner template or a how-to video or even a private message to connect and find out more via a zoom call.
You must make sure that your offer is valuable to your prospect or they will not interact in the desired way.
